In the spring of this year, Mr. Martin Rek and Mrs. Petra Varausová, who represent ENERKOM Šumavsko, z.s., contacted us with a request to get acquainted with our micro hydro turbine PROTUR. Since we like to introduce our technology because we consider it unique, we are proud of it and we are also proud of the work of the whole team involved in its development and installation, we were pleased by their interest and together we started planning the visit. ENERKOM Šumava included their trip to us in their two-day tour of renewable energy sources in the Czech Republic and Austria, focusing on the opportunity to “see the energy sources with their own eyes”, meet the operators and reflect on the transferability to the Šumava region.
On Thursday, 30 May, a bus full of Sumava power engineers accompanied by several cars pulled into the ŽĎAS premises. After a warm welcome, we gathered in a large meeting room at the CEO’s office, where we presented not only PROTUR, but also other interesting possibilities that our Energy Projects Division can offer municipalities and communities in terms of power generation. In addition to the micro hydro, the possibility of gasification of municipal waste was presented and intrigued.
This was followed by the actual meeting with our turbine on the test bench. And we have to add that PROTUR was admired and even applauded. And we felt proud that we could present quality, honest work, that we could boast of our purely Czech product, which, as our guests also said, has its place among renewable energy sources in the Czech Republic.
We already know that we will soon meet in Šumava and present PROTUR within local energy groups.
We would like to thank all those who helped us with the visit of such a large group, i.e. not only our team from the Energy Projects Division, but also the team of the ŽĎAS General Director’s Secretariat and the security team of ŽĎAS. Colleagues, thank you very much for the joint organization!
